Which subsidies are actually open — and which are just repeated

We checked support programmes against the operators' own publications rather than other people's pages. There is less than is commonly claimed.

Solar subsidy pages are the most-copied content in this business. Programmes stay listed years after they closed, amounts get repeated without a source, and the reader turns up at a counter for a call that expired in the spring.

So we set a rule: an entry in our programme list must link to the operator's own publication or an official gazette, and carry the date it was checked. A summary on someone else's site is not a source. A figure we could not confirm stays empty rather than guessed.

What we confirmed

The FBiH Environmental Fund's public call for energy-efficiency projects in 2026 is open, with a total budget of 3,953,818 KM and a deadline of 5 September 2026. One detail rarely passed on: the call explicitly excludes natural persons. Households cannot apply.

What we could not confirm

A household support scheme frequently quoted at 7,000 KM per household was not on the operator's own site when we checked. That does not mean it doesn't exist — it means we won't list it until we see it at the source.

When the rules change, you'll know

An occasional email: a new open call for subsidies, a change to the net-metering rules, or a change in our model that moves the numbers.
